Extra Juice for the North American EVs

By Boris Kamchev - Aug 11, 2022

Juice Americas Inc announced it will start selling its revamped two-in-one electric vehicle charger, J+ Booster 2, the United States and Canada. EV enthusiasts think that the portable charger is the key to a wider adoption of e-mobility by assuaging Americans’ EV range anxiety, which Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology AG, said is “a thing of the past.”

Portable charging stations enable drivers to charge their cars wherever they park habitually for extended periods of time – during the day at the workplace, or nights at home.

Developed in Switzerland by parent company Juice Technology, the company describes the second iteration of J+ Booster as the “Swiss army knife of EV charging.”

“J+ Booster 2 enables EV owners to simply take their EV charger on the road to charge their vehicles from any conventional power socket-outlet,” the company said in a news release.

The unit can deliver charging power ranging from 720 W to 9.6 kW, and that it takes about four to six hours to fully charge a vehicle’s battery, depending on the battery pack size. The product is adapted for the North American power grid and is certified by the independent testing and certification organization UL and fully meets all applicable standards.
