Axel Royal Back in Operation After Fire

An investigation is ongoing into the cause of a fire at Axel Royal’s Tulsa factory last Tuesday. The blaze sent plumes of black smoke into the air, as firefighters suppressed the flames.

ReGen III Secures More Funding

Waste oil rerefiner ReGen III aims to be the world’s largest producer of regenerated API Group III base oil when the company commissions its plant in Texas. In the meantime, it recently closed a second and final tranche of a private placement share offering to raise working capital.

Japan Lube Demand Dropped in September

Exxon Ups Spending on Recycling

Shell Led for Lube Sales in 2023

Shell said last week that it remained the world’s largest finished lubricant supplier in 2023 – the 18th consecutive year that the British company has held the industry’s pole position.

Sarawak Lubricants, a Malaysian joint venture between investment firm Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd and lube company Hyrax Oil Sdn, opened its doors in Kuching, Sarawak. The new company will sell high-performance and eco-friendly lubricants. 

Ergon Asia announced the availability of its HyGold L750 naphthenic base oil also in Thailand. Ergon Asia is the subsidiary of Mississippi-based Ergon.

The National Oil Recyclers Association is now known as Enfinite to reflect the broader scope of the material it collects, which will now extend to more industrial fluids.
