Infineum Plans India Additive Plant

United Kingdom-based additive company Infineum will open an additive blending plant in India next year. The announcement last week points to the lubricant industry’s growing interest in the country as the world’s fastest-growing automotive oil market.

Denmark Refinery Undergoing Expansion

Madrid – Avista Green will undertake an expansion of its used lubricant rerefinery in Kalundborg, Denmark, and aims to increase the facility’s base oil production capacity by 25,000 metric tons by 2027.

OQ Chemicals launched OxReduce L7-NPG, a “bio-circular” ester base oil made from certified palm oil free feedstock. Called OxReduce L7-NPG, it’s non-toxic with a low pour point and a high flash point.

Specialty chemicals company Lanxess launched a synthetic ester heating, ventilation and air conditioning lubricant, Everest ESR 220, which is approved and used by several leading global manufacturers.

TotalEnergies Lubrifiants’ new regenerated oil for heavy-duty vehicles, Rubia EV3R, is aimed at lowering emissions generated by its own operations.
