The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers elected Paul Hetherington from Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. as the organization’s 2020-2021 president.

Chris Wholley succeeded Peter Vickers—who will remain as chairman—as managing director of UK-based Vickers Oils on March 30. Wholley has served as deputy managing director for several years and as technical director since 2002.

Bruce Lerner will join HollyFrontier as president of HollyFrontier Lubricants and Specialties effective June 1. Lerner succeeds Mark Plake, who will step down from the role on June 1 and retire from the company on Dec. 31.

After a merger of Jagger Advisory‘s global lubricants services with IHS Markit‘s Oil, Midstream and Downstream consulting unit, Suzan Jagger has been named vice president of the IHS Markit OMD Consulting team. She will be responsible for leading the business development, delivery and management of the consulting service in global lubricants.

MFG Chemical named Paul Turgeon president and CEO, succeeding Keith Arnold. The company also appointed Jonathan O’Dwyer as vice president of commercial operations.

Katie VanQuathem has been appointed area business manager for the North American specialties sales group of Emery Oleochemicals.

Ingevity Corp. announced that D. Michael Wilson would resign as president, CEO and director due to matters relating to personal conduct. Board Chairman Richard Kelson is interim president and CEO.

Calumet announced that Tim Go will resign as CEO effective June 1. The Indianapolis-based company appointed Steve Mawer, a current board member, to take over as CEO.

Lubrizol U.K. appointed Alison Fisher as general manager at its national headquarters in Derbyshire. Fisher also serves as general manager of sales in Europe and Africa.

March 2020

Chevron Oronite announced that Barbara Smith, vice president of products and technology, will retire on April 1. Koon Eng Goh will take over her position. The company also appointed Walt Szopiak as its vice president of manufacturing and supply, replacing Curt Anderson, who was named vice president of manufacturing for Chevron Products Co.
