Rooney Ready for New Venture
April 13, 2005Former 76 Lubricants President Garry D. Rooney is on the move again, this time with plans to start his own lube supply company. Rooney told Lube Report last week that he resigned his position as president of North American Lubricants Co. in February due to growing disagreements with ownership about how to run the business. Honeywell Peddles Wax Operations
April 13, 2005Honeywell last week announced the sale of its industrial wax operations in Asia and Europe to Dutch wax producer Paramelt BV. The deal does not involve Honeywells U.S. wax business, which includes a plant in Smethport, Pa., but the conglomerate said it plans to divest those operations, too. The companies did not disclose the price of the sale, which included two wax plants – one in Eupen, Belgium, the other in Suzhou, China.
