Bayer Chemicals has expanded its portfolio of biocides by acquiring the Tektamer product line from Ondeo Nalco Co., part of France’s Suez Group. The Tektamer line isbased on formulations with active ingredient thiabendazole (TBZ), which is one of the leading fungicidal chemistries for metalworking fluids and other applications such as pulp and paper slurries and additives and wet-state paint. $495,000 Fine for Old P-QS Refinery

Shell Oil Products U.S. has agreed to pay $495,000 in fines to settle a federal case over violations of air pollution, water pollution and hazardous waste rules at a former Pennzoil-Quaker State base oil refinery in Shreveport, La.
