Gazprom Breaks Ground on Omsk Project

Russian oil major Gazprom Neft started construction last week on a modernization of an obsolete base oil plant at its refinery in Omsk, Western Siberia – a project that will add capacity to make 220,000 metric tons per year of API Group II and III oils.

United States-based industrial and automotive lubricants blender Lubrication Engineers named Pure Lubrication as its new authorized distributor for products and services throughout the United Kingdom.  Gazprom Neft reached an agreement with the government of Archangelsk Oblast in northwest Russia on import substitution of lubricants and service fluids. Gazprom Neft will increase supplies of lubricants and expand its client base throughout the region’s energy, housing and utilities and industrial businesses.
