French lubricant company Condat SA last week finalized the acquisition of Kemno, a specialist lubricant and coolant company based in Milan. The takeover grows Condat’s market share in neighboring Italy and its fastener and machining lube capacity.

Telko Ltd., part of the Aspo Group, acquired Swedish distributor ILS Nordic AB and its subsidiary Autolubes Nordic AB. Telko has been a distributor of Castrol products in Finland since 1958, ILS Nordic is a lubricants distribution partner of BP Castrol in Sweden and Norway, and Autolubes Nordic distributes automotive oils in Sweden and Norway.

Correction

The initial version of a Sept. 29 article, “In Russia, Clawing Back from Lockdown,” gave an incorrect reason for Total’s temporary shutdown of its lubricant blending plant in the Kaluga region. The company suspended operations to comply with restrictions aimed at stemming the COVID-19 pandemic. As the epidemiological situation improved and restrictions eased, safety considerations and health authorities allowed plant production to resume.
