German Firm Boosts Production, Capacity

German lubricant and grease maker Zeller & Gmelin is expanding its grease production and tank storage capacity to meet growing demand. The expansion work at its Eislingen production site should be complete by the end of 2019, the company confirmed to Lube Report on Monday.

Quicker Rollout Possible for GF-6 in AMEA

Compared to previous engine oil standards, Asia, Middle East and Africa regions may see a quicker rollout of ILSAC GF-6 following its launch in North America next year, a consultant told an industry conference last month.

Distributor Expands into Scandinavian Market

German specialty chemical distributor Biesterfeld Spezialchemie acquired Norwegian lubricant distributor Lindberg & Lund AS last week for an undisclosed amount to increase its presence in the lucrative Scandinavian lubricants market.

Shell Lubricants will provide Qatar Fuel Co. with engine lubricants over a five-year period, under a supply agreement signed on Aug. 25. Lukoil will deliver lubricants to Kazakhmys Holding, Kazakhstans largest copper producer, under an oil supply agreement. The lubricants will be for mining machinery and special automotive equipment at three production sites.
