Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd. is buying a maleic anhydride plant from its Malaysian joint venture with BASF and plans to upgrade the facility to produce a refined form of the chemical – in part to meet rising demands from customers in Asia-Pacific and India.

Indian Oil Corp. Ltd.’s expansion of its Haldia base oil plant is on track to be completed by the end of this year – a year later than originally scheduled, the company told Lube Report this week. The company also plans to open two new base oil plants within the next three years.
