ExxonMobil rolled out a new line of lubricants for electric vehicles. The product range includes Mobil EV Therm thermal management fluids formulated to manage heat and increase equipment life; Mobil EV Drive lubricants designed to protect gears and bearings in EVs; Mobil EV Cool Drive fluids to lubricate gears and bearings while cooling e-motors and power electronics; and Mobil EV Grease, a series of greases that can be used on e-motors, bearings and constant velocity joints. Pennzoil Full Synthetics

Pennzoil added four new motor oils to its full synthetic lineup. Each product is made from gas-to-liquid base oil and is designed to cater to engine type and driving style, the company stated. Pennzoil Extended Care and Pennzoil Start/Stop Protection are available in viscosity grades SAE 0W-20 and SAE 5W-30, Pennzoil Maximum Power comes in SAE 0W-30 and Pennzoil Hybrid is available in SAE 0W-16. Chevron Gear Oils

Chevrons Meropa MG gear oils are designed for use in industrial and marine gear systems where extreme load and shock load protection is required. According to the company, the oils defend against deposit formation and corrosion and offer long lubricant life and good wear protection. The oils are suitable for use in clutched gearboxes required to pass the Ortlinghaus clutch test. The company also released its Caltex Meropa Elitesyn XM series, which it says is an improved formula of synthetic industrial gear oils for use under severe loads and at high temperatures. Applications include mining, construction and manufacturing. The series is available in ISO 150 through ISO 680 viscosity grades in the Asia-Pacific region. Web: www.chevron.com

PerkinElmer Inc. has developed the LPC 500 Liquid Particle Counter, which couples with the companys existing Avio 500 ICP-OES Oils system to provide particle counting and sizing in addition to wear metals analysis of in-service oils and lubricants. The equipment features single particle optical sizing technology and, paired with the Avio 500 system, enables lubricant testing laboratories to conduct two otherwise independent analyses in a single run. Engine Oils in Asia

Shell Malaysia launched Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30, a fully synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oil that meets ACEA E6 and ACEA E9 specifications, as well as manufacturers standards for wear protection and cleanliness. Recommended for use in modern diesel engines that satisfy Euro 4 through Euro 6 emission standards, the oil offers extended drain intervals of up to 150,000 kilometers as well as better wear protection and fuel economy, Shell claims. The company also expanded its Shell Helix Ultra range of fully synthetic passenger car engine oils with the addition of Helix Ultra API SN Plus SAE 0W-20 and Helix Ultra SAE 0W-40, available in Singapore.
