TECHNICAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
Excellent opportunity for a Technical Services Director with a rapidly growing and expanding company.
This management position provides chemical technical services & product development as a working Director. This position interacts with staff chemist(s), customers, product suppliers, production facilities, and our sales team to provide excellent technical service for each group’s individual needs. Strong knowledge of chemistry, lube additives, fuel additives, formulation expertise, understanding of lube/fuel testing methods, quality assurance of chemicals in company owned plants, personnel management skills, communications skill with sales force and customers are required.
Minimum Education Requirements:
BS in Organic Chemistry, 10 years minimum experience in lube and fuel additives.
Desirable Requirements:
Chief Chemist; minimum 5 years of experience supervising laboratory employees; demonstrated knowledge and experience using laboratory database systems and/or instrument operating software; demonstrated proficiency in a laboratory environment and compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety policies; demonstrated knowledge of laboratory testing equipment including Gas Chromatography, X-Ray spectrometers, FTIR and various other petroleum laboratory testing equipment; proficient with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Access data base software; demonstrated ability to analyze data and issue reliable product status reports; excellent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to adjust work schedule to meet the needs of the business and address unexpected issues. A Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry is highly preferred. Candidates must currently be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
