Director of Technology

This is an outstanding opportunity to assume a leadership role in a company with a proven track record for more than 60 years. The Director of Technology will manage Research & Development with overall responsibility for new product innovation and development, and ongoing evaluation of product usage and stability in field applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Drive the creation of innovative new products in the power sports, mining and industrial segments.

Management and control of all aspects of laboratory functions.

Evaluate product application and lubrication solutions, and define product opportunities and requirements.

The ideal Candidate should have a BA in Chemistry. A Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry are highly desirable, along with a minimum of 10-15 years professional experience. A strong business acumen and/or an MBA is also valued.

Research and Development

Chemist – Consumer Division

Responsibilities include providing leadership in our efforts at new product formulations. Performing studies to achieve the development or reformulation of lubricant products; working directly with manufacturing personnel to schedule and participate in pilot manufacturing studies, pilot batches, etc. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, preferably Organic. Candidate should be a motorcycle enthusiast, having knowledge of motorcycle engine technology. Business aptitude is necessary, as there will be daily interface with Sales, Marketing and Bel-Rays valued customers. Eight to ten years of prior experience in a lubricant manufacturing environment. Candidates must also have knowledge of basic lubrication and lubricant testing, formulations and applications, manufacturing and packaging. Domestic travel is required.
