Shell Marine announced Shell Argina and Shell Gadinia trunk piston oils for the medium-speed engine market. The Argina range includes four grades: BN 20 Shell Argina S2 for residual, blended and distillate fuels; Shell Argina S3 (BN 30) and S4 (BN 40); and Shell Argina S5 (BN 55). The company says these oils provide extra protection from deposits and extended oil life. Shell Gadinia S3 is a new addition to the existing standard and antilacquer Gadinia variants, developed to control oil consumption in modern engines burning distillate fuels.

Grease Cuts the Noise

Dow Corning Corp. has introduced Molykote G-1074 noise-damping grease, formulated to perform under extreme pressure at high frequency. It can be used in a wide range of automotive applications, including chassis and brake, exterior, and interior. The PAO-based grease is suitable for lubricating metal, plastic and elastomeric substrates. Drum Decanting Unit

Fluid Solutions announced its Drum Decanting Unit, a PlugnPlay technology for discharging and decanting liquid additives from drums and IBCs. The product can be formulated as a base fluid for chain oils for various applications like lifting chains for cranes, sluice gates, forklifts, forges, rolling mills and conveyor systems. Other applications include 2-stroke engine oils, gear oils and greases. Food Industry Lubes

Intesmo, the joint venture of Lukoil and Russian Railways, has introduced food-grade oils and greases for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The Flex product range includes greases, gear oils, hydraulic and compressor oils, high-temperature chain oils, vacuum pump oils and white oils. The company says all products are H1 certified by NSF.
