Zeller+Gmelin announced Multidraw sheet metal forming fluids for light, medium and difficult degrees of deformation. Multidraw PL 61 SE is suitable for oiling of all steel surfaces from the rolling mill and helps reduce zinc abrasion during the forming process of hot-dip galvanized surfaces. In addition, the product resists running off and is compatible with coated and uncoated sheet metal surfaces. Multidraw PL 61 SE can also be used in stretch forming and ironing operations.

Hydraulic Fluid Earns Bosch Rexroth Approval

Liqui Moly announced that its HyPer hydraulic oils have received the Bosch Rexroth RDE 90235 approval. The company says that HyPer oils reduce wear to the nonferrous metals and nitrate layer of pistons and bores, increasing operational safety and minimizing breakdowns. The oils can be used in all stationary and mobile machines that require HLP hydraulic oil. They also meet the following specifications: Parker Denison HF-0, HF-1, HF-2; Eaton E-FDGN-TB002-E; Eaton Brochure 03-401-2010; Fives-Cincinnati P-68, P-69, P-70; and DIN 51524-2 HLP.

Turbine Engine Oil

ExxonMobil announced that Mobil Jet Oil 387 synthetic turbine engine oil has been approved by UTC Aerospace Systems for use in its integrated drive generator models. These generators supply constant-frequency AC electrical power to commercial and military aircraft. The company says Mobil Jet Oil 387 provides component protection and oxidative stability under the high-temperature conditions common with IDGs. The oil meets a range of industry specifications, including SAE AS5780 High-Performance Capability and U.S. Military Specification MIL-PRF-23699-HTS.

Stanhope-Seta has introduced Setaflash Series 3 instrument, suitable for measuring flash point in the laboratory or in the field. The new instrument features a simple user interface with color digital display and touch screen icons that guide the operator through the testing process. Using Stanhope-Setas latest technology, a test typically takes less than 2 minutes to perform and requires just a 2-milliliter test sample.
