Millers Oils has launched a plastic 5-liter oil bottle that the company says allows users to fill or top up engines without spills and without a funnel. The containers easy-pour mechanism enables users to control oil flow and prevent contamination and spills. The Flowcontrol bottle is available from selected outlets and sells for the same price as a current standard 5-liter bottle of the same oil grade.

Mess-Free Greasing
G Gun, a heavy-duty, foot-operated grease gun from Gurtech allows hands-free and waste-free operation. The canister holds 5 to 8 kilograms of grease. The G Gun is supplied with the G Coupler Zerk coupler and a 2-meter long hose (longer hoses available). The company says the G Coupler self-aligns and seals the connection when it locks onto the zerk via a simple trigger locking mechanism. Operators typically can grease joints with three foot pumps per joint.

Viscosity Modifier Fights the Cold
Chevron Oronite has introduced Paratone 8900E viscosity modifier that the company says offers excellent low-temperature performance, superior thickening efficiency and extended shear stability. It is for use in formulating passenger car and heavy-duty engine oils, other multigrade crankcase oils, power transmission fluids and industrial engine oils. Paratone 8900E is also said to work well with numerous pour point depressants and provides low treat rates.

Synthetic Wind Turbine Oil
Evonik has introduced a synthetic wind turbine gear oil, Formulation 8175, that meets OEM and end-user service requirements as well as industry standards like DIN 51517-3, ANSI/AGMA 9005-EO2 and IEC 61400-4. Formulation 8175 is based on Viscobase synthetic base fluid technology, protecting gears from fatigue and wear and reducing operating temperatures.

Morris Lubricants has launched to two gear oils that the company says save fuel and improve performance. Lodexol MTF 75W-80 is for applications operating under extreme pressure. It can be used in manual, automated manual and semi-automatic gearboxes in a variety of autos, including BMW, Ford, Honda, Volkswagen and Volvo. Lodexol MTF 75W-80 has outstanding cold start fluidity, ensuring fast circulation around gear systems, even at low temperatures. Lodexol FR-X is a manual transmission fluid for use in Peugeot and Citron cars. The company says it has excellent cold start fluidity and exceptional high temperature stability.
