Rosneft Lubes Soared in 2015

Russian oil major Rosneft produced 779,000 metric tons of base oils, finished lubricants and additives combined in 2015, 6 percent more than the year before, solidifying its position as the second-largest lubricant marketer in Russia, according to the companys annual report. Eric Schnur assumed the chairman, president and chief executive officer roles for Wickliffe, Ohio-based Lubrizol Corp. effective Jan. 2, succeeding James Hambrick, previously chairman and chief executive officer, who completed a 38-year career with the company. The planned management transition was announced in mid-2016. Schnur, who has been with the company more than 27 years, was named Lubrizol’s president and chief operating officer June 1, having previously served as president of the Lubrizol Advanced Materials business segment for eight years.
