Russias combined base oil and lubricants production grew just 2 percent in 2015 compared to the year before, as the country entered into its second consecutive year of economic slowdown and low consumer demand, according to research and consulting firm EY Moscow, part of Ernst & Young Global. Court Cuts Off Ukrainian Railways Lube Supply

Ukraines state railway monopoly Ukrzaliznytsias lubricant supply was disrupted after a court rejected the railways lube supply agreement last week. Kievs business court decided in favor of Miroil, one of the lube supply tender bidders that objected to Ukrzaliznytsias decision to grant its supply agreement to another bidder, Trade Commodity. Exol Lubricants Invests in Manufacturing

United Kingdom-based Exol Lubricants will invest in packaging equipment at its Wednesbury, West Midlands facility, to meet increasing demand for the companys products. This year, the independent lubricant manufacturer will add two Strong Arm filling machines with capacity to fill packages of 20, 25, 60, 205, and 1,000 liters. IKS Group now represents Hexols lubricants in the Ukrainian market. Gazpromneft-Lubricants signed a cooperation agreement with Belarussian earth-moving equipment manufacturer JSC BelAZ, including supply of lubes to its dealership network, cooperation in research and development, and development of new lubricants.
