Were the largest collector of used oil, filters, antifreeze, solvents, any petroleum related waste in British Columbia, Harold Winberg, M&R co-owner and vice president of sales and marketing, told Lube Report. We have 4,700 accounts that are looking to buy new lubricants as well as have us collect their used oil. Not just for Uni-Select members, but for all the trades, car dealerships, quick lubes, Canadian tires, anyone whos looking for bulk oil, packaged oil, synthetic and mineral.

According to Winberg, the agreement is a big deal in the finished lubricants marketplace in British Columbia. Service levels have dropped off a lot, and our customers have been asking us now for a couple of years to start distributing oil, he noted. Weve just been looking for the right brand at the right time, and I think weve found it.

Montreal-headquartered Uni-Select distributes automotive replacement parts, equipment, tools and accessories. Uni-Select Pacific has three distribution centers throughout British Columbia in Burnaby, Victoria and Kelowna.

Also in the deal, M&R will ship lubricants to other Uni-Select members, using their equipment, Claude Van Kessell, marketing manager for Total Lubricants Canada, told Lube Report. M&R is also going to have some sales support for Uni-Select members that are interested in selling the lubricant products.

Total Lubricants Canada was created in December 2008. TLC produces and distributes automotive and industrial lubricants, coolants, rust proofing, bio lubricants and synthetic lubricants.
