Parts Supplier Acquires Keltner

Atlantic Pacific Automotive LP has acquired Keltner Enterprises, which distributes motor oil, chemicals and aftermarket parts throughout the United States. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Springfield, Mo.-based Keltner was a portfolio company of Gen Cap America, a Nashville, Tenn.-based private investment form. Founded in 1952, Germantown, Tenn.-based Atlantic Pacific is a global supplier of automotive chemicals, parts and accessories to automotive parts jobbers and redistributors.

Keltner CEO Reed Colerick said the combined platform with Atlantic Pacific has enormous growth potential. Keltners senior management, including Colerick and vice president Larry Prewitt, will remain with the company under the new ownership.

According to Keltner web site, the motor oil brands it distributes include American Oil, BP, Castrol, Chevron, Citgo, Conoco, Exxon, Havoline, Kendall, Mobil, Motorcraft, Pennzoil, Phillips 66, Quaker State, Shell, Super S and Valvoline. Grease brands carried include Lubriplate, Mystik, Sta-Lube, Super S and Valvoline.
