Sea-Land Chemical Co. has expanded its distribution network for Air Products and Chemicals Inc.s surfactants for metalworking fluid markets as well as household, industrial and institutional users, to locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Although the companies have in business together since 1976, the previous territory was limited to Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.

This is an opportunity to expand our efforts in the household, industrial, institutional marketplace in the Northeast, Mark Christeon, Sea-Lands executive vice president told Lube Report. It will complement several of the product lines that we already supply in that area.

Manufactured at Air Products facilities in Milton, Wis., and Reserve, La., the products include Tomadol brand linear alcohol ethoxylate surfactants, and Tomamine brand ether amine and amine derivative additives used in metalworking fluid formulations.

Air Products is a $10 billion Allentown, Pa.-based manufacturer of specialty chemicals and gases for customers in industrial, energy, technology and health-care markets.

Headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, Sea-Land is now stocking the Air Products surfactants and additives at its Philadelphia warehouse, one of seven distribution centers the company maintains in the United States.
