Mnster, Germany-based Weicon manufactures and distributes lubricants, greases, adhesives, technical sprays and liquids, assembly pastes and sprays, and stripping tools. The company was founded in 1949 and exports to more than 60 countries worldwide. Along with an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Kitchener facility is the companys second international office.

Lubricants are one part of our range of products, and were going to try to establish our complete range in North America, North American Vice President Kevin Jngel told Lube Report. Were not specialized in those lubricants, so we can try to cover most applications with five different lubricants. They include four greases and a lubricant for underwater and marine applications.

Its general industrial, so you can use those lubricants anywhere – agriculture, food industry, automotive, oil industry, Jngel added.

He said the Canadian office, which opened Sept. 1, consists of about 1,500 square feet of sales offices and warehouse space. Im getting all the product from our headquarters in Germany.

Jngel said the Kitchener area was appealing in part because of its proximity to the greater Toronto area, which is one of the main industrial areas in Ontario.
