Shell Lubricants Switzerland AG has transferred the sale and marketing of Shell lubricants, including aviation lubricants, for Switzerland and Liechtenstein to distributor Maagtechnic.

The contract with Dbendorf, Switzerland-based Maagtechnic, a division of Dtwyler Schweiz AG in Altdorf, Switzerland, went into effect Aug. 18. The corresponding customer and service center and technical support will also transfer to Maagtechnic.

According to Shell, the business transfer to Maagtechnic excludes lubricants blending at the Bern, Switzerlandlocation, and lubricants sold through petrol stations, which Shell still manages and operates.

Maagtechnic said that it is specifically strengthening its activities in the maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) activities side with the sales contract. The company has 820 employees at more than 16 locations in Switzerland, southern Germany, France and the Czech Republic, and serves around 50,000 customers.

The Maagtechnic Group is a retail, production and service company specializing in technical industrial components. It focuses on elastomer, plastic, fluid and drive technology, and occupational health and safety, operating equipment, electronics and composite technology. Its fluid components include hydraulic components, and central lubrication and minimum quantity lubrication systems.
