U.S. Base Oil Price Report

Share

Despite some concerns about crude prices famously topping $100 per barrel last week, the U.S. base oil market was quiet this week. Sources report no changes in posted prices.

At the close of the Tuesday, Jan. 8, NYMEX session, light sweet crude settled at $96.33 per barrel, up 33 cents from the Dec. 31 close. (Markets were closed for the New Year holiday on Jan. 1.)

Carolyn L. Green is on vacation this week and next. Her price report will resume Jan. 23.

Historic U.S. posted base oil prices and WTI and Brent crude spot prices are available for purchase in Excel format.
