Bowen Petroleum will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Haycock Petroleum and will continue to market and operate under the Bowen Petroleum name. Bowens management team, including its vice president and previous owner Clair Bowen, will continue in their current roles.
Based in Pocatello, Idaho, Bowen Petroleum was founded in 1977 and supplies truck and cardlock delivered fuels, lubricants and related services to retail, agricultural and commercial and industrial customers in southern and southeastern Idaho, along with western Wyoming, southwestern Montana and northern Utah. Bowen operates four warehouse/bulk plant and cardlock facilities in Idaho in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Burley. According to its Web site, the company is an authorized distributor of Chevron, Sinclair and Texaco products.
Petroleum marketer Haycock Petroleum was formed in 1962 by Clair Haycock in Las Vegas, Nev. It merged with Jardine Petroleum in 2001. It provides fuel, propane and lubricant products to commercial and industrial customers. The company carries a variety of lubricants, including transmission fluids, gear lubricants and components, motor oils, hydraulic oils, industrial oils, turbine and circulating oils, and cutting oils. According to its Web site, Haycock carries lubricants from Chevron, Texaco, ConocoPhillips, Castrol and private label.
