National-Spencer Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of petroleum and lubrication equipment, recently acquired California-based MTN Pump Products, which imports and distributes a variety of specialty hand pumps that can be used for lubricants and other chemicals.
Under the terms of the agreement reached Jan. 22, Wichita, Kan.-based National-Spencer will assume responsibility for the sales and support of MTNs product line of specialty hand pumps. Customers use the pumps primarily to dispense chemicals, lubricants and other specialty fluids in the industrial, agri-business, automotive and chemical industries.
Rick England, president of National-Spencer, told Lube Report, were basically just trying to expand our product line and our customer base at the same time. England said MTNs products include pumps specifically made for use with lubricants. There is also some drum handling [equipment], such as drum wrenches, drum vents and drum faucets, he added.
National-Spencer carries a variety of equipment, including grease guns and pumps, oil pumps and dispensing equipment, chemical and specialty fluid pumps, hose reels for oil and grease use, and tanks and drum equipment. In addition to its corporate and sales office in Kansas, the company has locations in Spencer, Iowa and Hayward, Calif.
