Flodraulic Group – a national distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication components – Sept. 19 announced it would relocate from Indianapolis to nearby Mount Comfort, Ind., investing $2.6 million to build and equip an expanded manufacturing and distribution center expected to add 11 jobs, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The company plans to begin hiring additional sales and production staff in 2008. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Flodraulic up to $138,000 in performance-based tax credits based upon the companys job creation plans. Hancock County offered the company property tax abatement.

Indiana has continued to show growth with new manufacturing, providing Flodraulic Group an ever-growing customer base, said company chief operating officer Barry Stacy. Our focus is on expanding our base of business here with the new corporate location in Hancock County.

Now based in Indianapolis, the company distributes hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems from more than 20 companies, and designs and fabricates complete systems, power units and valve stands. It provides components such as pumps, motors, valves, filters, regulators, cylinders, injectors and related items. The companys engineering staff can do custom design to specifications or provide modular, pre-engineered units, using standard components.

Flodraulic has stocking locations in Arizona, California, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. Its regional representatives cover the same states, along with Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
