Royal Manufacturing Co. LP and its affiliate Wright Oil Co. have almost finished moving into a newly constructed facility in the San Antonio area designed to help meet growing demand for Royals industrial and heavy-duty lubricants.

The new facility is slightly more than 100,000 square feet. The plant was necessary to handle the increase in sales for our branded products, as well as custom blending and packaging for existing customers, Royal Manufacturing said in a statement.

Our market areas are industrial, commercial and agricultural, Royal Manufacturing General Manager Jim Gott told Lube Report on Thursday, adding that the company had seen an increase in demand across all three areas.

Gott said that while construction completed early this year, the process of moving in has been ongoing. They started moving in around the first of the year, and theyve been moving for a couple of months, Gott said. Theyre just about finished right now.

The new facility will include a complete quality control lab and blending and packaging from 16 oz. containers to truck and rail loading. The bulk storage area will have a capacity of 1.4 million gallons, and the blending area will include two polymer solubilizing units.

Tulsa, Okla.-based Royal said the new plant at Wright Oils location will increase its capacity for its customers in the southwestern U.S., Mexico and various overseas locations.

Royal has been a compounder, blender, packager and marketer of lubricants and greases since 1914.
