Val Pakis, who served as president and chief executive officer of D.A. Stuart Co. from 2000 until March 2006, has rejoined Lubrizol Corp. as vice president for driveline and industrial additives.
Pakis will focus on continued organic growth as well as merger and acquisition activity, the company announced yesterday. He also will be responsible for Lubrizols equipment manufacturer liaison group.
D.A. Stuart, Warrenville, Ill., supplies metalworking fluids and other specialty process chemicals to a variety of industries. Before joining D.A. Stuart in 2000, Pakisspent 20 years withWickliffe, Ohio-based Lubrizolin a variety of commercial roles, including global business manager, specialties; worldwide segment manager, industrial products; sales manager based in Vienna, Austria; general manager of North American sales; and general manager Far East, Middle East and international sales.
Pakis replaces Eric Schnur, who has been named vice president and general manager, performance coatings, of Lubrizols Noveon Specialty Chemicals business segment.
