Bijur Delimon International has acquired Delimon Protos India Private Ltd., a centralized lubrication systems and services supplier which Bijur already partially owned.
Morrisville, N.C.-based Bijur Delimon International, which manufactures and distributes centralized lubrication products and components,announced the acquisition for an undisclosed amount on Thursday.Delimon Protos India will immediately merge with Bijur Delimon International and will operate under the name of Bijur Delimon India Ltd.
We will complement the Bijur Delimon International product line and give customers on a global basis a wider product offering and faster access to service operations, said Krishnan Ramanathan, managing director for Bijur Delimon India.
Based in Pune, Bijur Delimon India offers centralized lubrication systems and service to many industries in the region, including the heavy-duty marketplace, steel, mining, cement and machine tools, among others. In addition to centralized grease lubrication systems, Bijur Delimon India supplies oil recirculation systems to various industries. It provides a single source for design and consultancy, manufacture installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
Scott Batchelor, North America Marketing Manager for Bijur Delimon International, told Lube Report that Bijur Delimon Internationals sister company in Germany already owned 60 percent of Bijur Delimon India. We just wanted more control over operations and to integrate our product line with theirs, and also customers, he said. We thought it made sense to complete the acquisition and take over 100-percent ownership.
Batchelor explained that Bijur Delimon International has found the southeast Asian market increasingly attractive over the last five years. The company has a plant in China. Weve seen a lot of growth in China, Batchelor said. Weve also seen a lot of growth throughout southeast Asia, including India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Thats the biggest thing to us – the growth thats there, and the opportunity to have a company with a great reputation like they do and a strong customer base.
Bijur Delimon Internationalhas manufacturing and distribution facilities in the United States, China, France, Germany, India, Austria, England, Ireland and Spain. Industries served include machine tools, packaging, processing, railroad, trucking, heavy construction equipment, steel, mining, printing, food and beverage, textiles and material handling.
