UEIL Appoints Interel

During last weeks annual General Meeting of the Union of European Independent Lubricant Manufacturers in Nice, France, UEIL President Hugh Dowding announced the appointment of Interel, a Brussels-based lobbying and association management company, as the choice to take over these key activities for UEIL.

The appointment of Interel brings a level of professional resource that would be beyond the reach of UEIL in isolation in the areas of lobbying expertise, contacts within the political community in Brussels, and legal specialism. In addition it will bring continuity in terms of association management and the opportunity to outsource key functions such as the associations finances, said Dowding, CEO of Polartech Additives in the U.K. The board of UEIL is excited at the opportunities this new relationship brings to offer enhanced services to UEIL members.

Interels offices are located outside the center of Brussels. One of Interels partners, Axel Rindborg, will work for UEIL and act as the secretary general. Other than tasks related to the position of secretary general, Rindborg will also lobby on behalf of UEIL with all relevant European institutions (DG Environment, DG Industry, DG Competition) in matters that are of importance to the lubricants sector in Europe.
