The company is based in Warrenville, Ill., and supplies metalworking fluids and other specialty process chemicals to a variety of industries.

Lubrizol announced March 2 the appointment of three global business managers for a newly created industrial additives group. Jeff Lettrich will manage the group, which comprises hydraulics, industrial gear, grease and metalworking additives. He joined Lubrizol in 2000 and has 25 years experience in chemical additives. Karen Allen was named global business manager for hydraulics, industrial gear and grease. She joined the company in 1991. Metalworking additives were charged to Dave Pristic, who joined the company in 2002.

Based in Wickliffe, Ohio, Lubrizol supplies lubricant additives and other specialty chemicals.

Ciba on March 9 named Michael McHenry global market center head for engine and transmission fluids within the companys plastic additives business. McHenry joined Ciba this year and replaces Jean Zappia, who was named director of purchasing for the Americas in the plastic additives business.

Ciba is based in Basel, Switzerland, and provides specialty chemicals to the lubricants industry and other markets.
