Buyers and sellers said the U.S. base oil market remains in a period of relative calm after a raucous runup in prices in March and April.

Posted prices for paraffinics were unchanged again the past week. The price of crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange closed yesterday at $51.80 per barrel, $2.34 higher than a week ago.

Historic U.S. posted base oil prices and WTI and Brent crude spot prices are available for purchase in Excel format.
