Gazpromneft-Lubricants Sales Grew in H1

Gazpromneft-Lubricants sold 140,000 metric tons of lubricants in the first half of 2017, up 16 percent compared to the year-earlier period, the company said.

In the first half of 2017 Gazpromneft-Lubricants sold 24,000 tons of its G-Energy-branded oils, up 26 percent from the year-earlier period, the company said in a news release on Monday. G-Energy is the companys flagship brand.

In Russia, in the first half of 2017, the company sold 93,000 tons of various types of motor oils, up 19 percent compared to the same period last year. Also, in the first six months of 2017, the company increased its exports of all finished lubricants by 9 percent to 47,000 tons.

The company added several new countries during the period to its list of export destinations, including Thailand, Libya, Peru and Senegal. It now sells lubes in 68 countries.

We have very ambitious business plans, and we understand the growing need for high-quality lubricating materials in Russia and worldwide, said Alexander Trukhan, Gazpromneft-Lubricants general director.

Moscow-based Gazpromneft-Lubricants operates six blending plants – one based in Italy, another in Serbia and four in Russia. After Lukoil and Rosneft, the company is the third largest lubricant marketer in Russia. In 2016, it held 15 percent of the countrys lube market.
