Nyco America Establishes New U.S. HQ Facility

Nyco America, an operating subsidiary of French specialty lubricants maker Nyco Group, has established a major new headquarters and an operations platform for manufacturing and warehousing at a site near Atlanta.

Nyco America CEO James Mustacchio explained last week that the objective is to establish an operations platform – meaning a base for manufacturing, warehouses and offices. The facility is at an industrial site in Newnan, Georgia.

Nyco America, an operating subsidiary of French specialty lubricants maker Nyco Group, has established a major new headquarters at a site near Atlanta in Newnan, Georgia.

We will begin with offices in January, then include warehousing and manufacturing the first phase of staged investments, Mustacchio told Lube Report. The building was well designed for manufacturing in structure and utilities, and our modifications are minor. Our manufacturing plan includes the range of Nyco technology products, such as aviation grease, synthetic aviation turbine oils/fluids and related products. He said the site today encompasses five acres and one building.

Creation of this new U.S. platform increases local capability to better serve commercial aviation, MRO [maintenance, repair and overhaul], defense and specialty industrial customers in North America, Mustacchio said in a news release.

The company stated it plans continuing investments at the facility in local production, technical service and warehousing for its aviation greases and aviation turbine oils and fluids. The site offers responsive air-ground supply logistics from Atlanta, a core technical staff home base and ready access to Charleston and Savannah ports.

Paris-based Nyco manufactures specialty lubricants for the aeronautics and defense applications, and synthetic esters for industrial and automotive applications.

In February the company began producing its first line of additives – primarily antioxidants and coking inhibitors, with the ability to produce others as well – at its Tournai, Belgium, synthetic lubes and ester base stocks manufacturing facility.
