DuBois Gets Heatbath

DuBois Chemicals acquired Heatbath Corp., including its Park Metallurgical business, for an undisclosed amount in a deal that will enhance Dubois industrial cleaning and process chemical solutions segments.

According to its web site, Heatbath manufactures metal finishing products, including rust preventatives and cold forming zinc phosphates and lubricants, as a supplier for automotive, aerospace, military and general industrial applications. Park Metallurgical supplies heat treating products and other technologies for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Heatbath is based in Indian Orchard, Mass.

Owned by private equity firm Aurora Capital Group, Sharonville, Ohio-based DuBois manufactures metalworking fluids and surface treatment products. DuBois purchased metalworking and industrial fluids manufacturer Perkins Products in 2010, metalworking fluids and specialty chemicals company Galaxy Associates in 2012 and metalworking lubricants and metal finishing chemicals company Angler Industries in 2014.

According to its web site, DuBois metalworking fluids include pressworking, along with cutting and grinding fluids. It also makes both petroleum and synthetic greases and oils. The company offers products and services related to process cleaning and pretreatment, paper manufacturing, water treatment, vehicle cleaning and industrial maintenance products, and food cleaning and sanitation.
