Two high-level executives resigned from Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P.s general partner last month – Jennifer Straumins and Tim Barnhart – according to company filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Straumins, executive vice president of strategy and development, resigned on March 31, Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. disclosed in an April 2 SEC filing, which gave no reason for her resignation. She is the daughter of company co-founder F. William Grube. Barnhart, executive vice president of operations, resigned March 11 for personal reasons, according to a March 13 SEC filing. Both positions were with general partner Calumet GP, LLC.

Calumet GPs board of directors appointed Straumins to the position as part of a realignment of senior executive level responsibilities outlined in an October 2014 SEC filing.

Grube co-founded the company in 1990 with Fred Fehsenfeld Jr., and Straumins worked summers there during college. Since 2011, she had served as president and chief operating officer, positions eliminated under the realignment. Prior to that she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, senior vice president, and vice president, investor relations. Following work at Great Lakes Chemical and Exxon Chemical, she served in various capacities in financial planning and economics for Calumets predecessor until its initial public offering.

The Indianapolis-based company on March 26 announced it hired Bill Hatch, a former chief operating executive for Citgo Petroleum Corp., as interim CEO. Calumet promoted Vice Chairman and CEO Grube to the newly formed position of executive vice chairman. Both assumed their new roles effective April 1. Indianapolis-based Calumets board retained executive search firm Spencer Stuart to initiate a formal CEO search from a pool of both internal and external candidates.

In its March 11 SEC filing about Barnharts resignation, Calumet noted that there was no known disagreement with Mr. Barnhart on any matter relating to the partnerships operations. As part of the October 2014 company officer positions realignment, Barnhart was appointed executive vice president of operations. He previously served as the companys senior vice president of operations and has led oversight of the partnerships plant operations since 2009.

In a March 27 filing, Calumet said it appointed Edward Juno executive vice president of operations. From December 2012 through March 2015, Juno served as Calumets vice president for refining technology. His previous experience included various management positions at Alon USA Energy and Sinclair Energy, and earlier positions at Citgo and Pennzoil.
