Emery Oleochemicals plans to fully commission in the second quarter a bio-polyol plant in Cincinnati, Ohio, that will make products for its biolubricants business. Bryan Schorzman, chemicals business manager for Shell Chemicals in Deer Park, Texas, joined Houston-based Motiva Enterprises as general manager for base oils, replacing Michael Lewis, who became Motivas chief procurement officer. Flyers Energy acquired lubricants distributors Poma Distributing and Redwood Coast Petroleum in California.
