Russian lube marketer Gazpromneft Lubricants signed a strategic partnership deal with the Russian Association of Auto Dealers.

The agreement announced last week calls for a multilayered partnership that includes joint events, educational and media projects, as well as specially made programs for finished product supply to all car dealer members of the association (ROAD).

Gazpromneft Lubricants is Russian oil major Gazprom Nefts lube arm.

The partnership between Gazprom and ROAD began earlier this year, they have now agreed to expand the cooperation in 2014, according to Gazpromneft Lubricants. We are ready to provide modernized lube change equipment and special deals for lubricant supply to all members of the association, Gazpromneft Lubricants said in a Dec. 18 news release.

In Russia, warranties for new cars typically require owners to visit dealerships for scheduled maintenance.

All members of the association can request a tailored cooperation with Gazpromneft Lubricants, said Alexander Trukhan, the companys general director. The partners can request a list of Gazpromneft products that best meet current market needs, and also request lubricant and grease tests, while we can do product presentation and marketing support for them, Trukhan said.

Created in 1994, the Russian Association of Auto Dealers is the largest professional organization of Russian car dealerships. It defends the legal, business and commercial interests of over 400 car dealerships.

Gazpromneft Lubricants is one of the biggest lube marketers in Russia. In 2012 it produced around 450,000 tons of base oil and lubricants and held a 14 percent share of the countrys lubricants market. The company operates five lubricants production facilities in Russia, Italy and Serbia.
