Jergens Industrial Supply acquired John M. Allen Co. for an undisclosed amount. Both companies distribute metalworking fluids.

By bringing together JIS and the John M. Allen Co., we will be able to leverage the knowledge, experiences and relationships both companies have within the marketplace to better serve manufacturing end users not only in northeast Ohio, but nationwide, said Matt Schron, JIS general manager. Schron said the acquisition also gives Jergens the opportunity to partner with and represent additional leading metal cutting industry suppliers.

Founded in 1953, the John M. Allen Co. is based in Strongsville, Ohio. The company represents several suppliers and provides metalworking consumables, including metalworking fluids.

Cleveland-based Jergens Industrial Supply is a division of Jergens, a manufacturer of standard tooling components, fasteners, hoist rings and other workholding equipment. According to its web site, Jergens product offerings include metalworking lubricants, greases and oils.
