New passenger car registrations in the European Union dropped 15% in June to 886,510 units, the lowest volume for June on record since 1996, as supply chain issues continued to limit vehicle output, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association reported. Over the first half of this year, new car registrations in the EU shrank by 14%, compared to the same period last year, totaling around 4.6 million units.
