Infineum’s Jaquie Berryman was recently elected president of the Additive Technical Committee of Petroleum Additive Manufacturers in Europe, vowing that the trade group will focus on developing industry standards for measuring environmental impacts of companies.

VLS Resolves Mannol Complaint

United Kingdom-based Verification of Lubricant Specifications said it has resolved a complaint against German automotive parts supplier SCT-Vertriebs after working with the company to reduce performance claims for one of its engine oils.

Infineum Acquires Emulsifiers Business

Infineum has signed a contract to acquire ISCA UK’s emulsifiers business unit in a deal securing the Iscamul emulsifier brand and formulation expertise, the specialty chemicals company announced. The deal marks Infineum’s move back into the emulsion explosives market, which is a key mining technology. Terms were undisclosed.

Rosneft recently started to ship light commercial and passenger car motor oils manufactured at its refinery in Ryazan, Russia, to Hungary.  Gothenburg, Sweden-based SKF signed a long-term agreement with Swiss rail vehicle manufacturer Stadler Rail to equip and service rolling stock for the Berlin underground, or U-Bahn, in Germany. The contract, worth several million Euros and to last a minimum of 32 years, includes a number of SKF solutions, including lubrication systems.
