Lukoil Makes More Finished Lubes
July 6, 2021Russian oil major Lukoil increased production at its standalone lubricant blending plants by 17% to 161,000 metric tons in 2020, Lukoil said in its annual performance results report. The company attributed the increase to its new plant in Kazakhstan, which had its first full year of making products for Central Asia countries.

Rouen Fire Puts Focus on Industrial Sites
July 6, 2021France’s Ministry of Ecology last week implemented a system giving increased regulatory scrutiny to industrial sites that have had accidents or a history of not complying with safety regulations. The initiative stems from a 2019 fire at a Lubrizol lubricant additive factory in Rouen, France, although that site was not among the 13 singled out by the program.
