France Demand Recovered in 2020

Lubricant sales in France in 2020 were virtually unchanged from the previous year, according to new data from an industry association, as volumes consistently ran ahead of 2019 during the second half of the year to catch up from the cratering of last spring.

Fuchs Adds JV In Egypt

German independent lubricants blender Fuchs Petrolub SE announced on March 12 a joint venture in Egypt with longtime partner Alhamrani Group of Saudi Arabia to expand Fuchs’ presence in the African market.

Rosneft Boosts Packaged Lubes Sales

Rosneft increased its sales of packaged lubricants sales by 13% in 2020 and expanded distribution in Russia and abroad, the company announced last week. The company also recently started to export base oils in flexitanks.

Mac-branded service stations in the Tuscany region of Italy began carrying Bardahl brand lubricants and aftermarket oil additives this month under a collaboration agreement with Maroil, which is the brand’s official distributor in Italy. Bardahl is based in Seattle, Washington state, in the United States.
