BP, Castrol and Petrolimex recently agreed to a 20-year renewal of their Vietnamese joint venture, Castrol BP Petco Co., which supplies Castrol and BP-branded lubes in the Southeast Asian nation. BP and Petrolimex own 65% and 35%, respectively, of the business, which operates a 50,000 metric ton per year blending plant in Ho Chi Minh City. The JV claims to lead the domestic market with 24% of lubricant sales.
