Enabling Peak Performance and Greater Savings

One recent project saw Mobil Serv boost performance for Bolbam Infrastructure in Varanasi, India – resulting in significant cost savings of U.S. $4,900 for each piece of equipment.

Tough operating conditions were limiting the hydraulic oil drain interval and filter life of its heavy-duty rock breaker equipment to just 700 hours. This affected the company’s productivity through increasing service downtime and costs.

After monitoring performance with Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis, the Mobil Field Engineering Services team identified rapid oxidation and high operating temperatures as the main issues and recommended using Mobil DTE 26 Ultra hydraulic oil. This boosted ODI and filter life to 2,100 hours, reduced oil consumption by 800 liters annually for every piece of equipment and saved 57 hours of maintenance.
