Sales of new automobiles in Japan declined 32% to 318,371 in September, falling from 469,706 in the same month last year, according to data released by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. Passenger car sales dropped 34% to 256,963, truck sales fell 22% to 60,879 and bus sales declined 21% to 529.
