A lubricant blender in Chinas Hubei province recently opened an engine oil filter factory and claims to be the only company in the country to manufacture both types of products.

Zhongwo Group opened its filter factory in late May in an economic development zone in the city of Shiyan. According to the company, the factory has capacity to make 10 million filters annually.

Zhongwo also operates a blending plant with capacity to make 200,000 metric tons per year of lubricants. The companys facilities, which cover 67,000 square meters, also supplies antifreeze and urea, which is used to help scrub nitrogen oxides from exhaust in heavy-duty trucks.

Zhongwo produces Deniswill-branded automotive lubricants under a toll-blending agreement with Xi’an Helichang Lubricating Oil Co., according to the website of Deniswill International Petroleum Group.

Zhongwo is a spin-off from Dongfeng Automobile Oil Products Co., a unit of state-owned Dongfeng Motor Corp., one of Chinas four largest domestic automakers. In addition to manufacturing passenger cars and commercial vehicles, Dongfeng also produces a wide range of parts for its own vehicles and other automakers.
