Hi-Tech Lubricants Ltd. held a ceremony last week marking the start of construction for a lubricant packaging plant in Lahore, Pakistan. The facility is being built in cooperation with SK Lubricants, supplier of Zic brand lubes that Hi-Tech distributes.
The plant is being built on an 8-acre site and is scheduled to open in January 2015, according to a source familiar with the project, who spoke on condition of anonymity. SK will manufacture the finished lubricants and transport them to Lahore for packaging.
Zic is the finished lubricant brand of SK Lubricants, a Seoul, South Korea, refiner that is the worlds largest supplier of API Group III base stocks.
Hi-Tech is part of the Lahore-based MAS group. It markets and distributes Zic lubricants throughout Pakistan.
