Sinopec Partners with Huashun on Oil-Air Lubes

Sinopec Lubricants became a recommended supplier of oil-air lubricating oil for Yantai Huashun Machinery Engineering Equipments oil-air centralized lubrication system products.

Under the partnership agreement, Huashun issued Sinopec Lubricants a technical certification, recommending its OA series lubricating oils for use in its steel industry equipment, said Zhe Wang, Huashuns technology manager. Wang noted that the Great Wall OA series lubricating oils meets the requirements of Huashuns oil-air lubrication equipment and was verified by customers, which is more conducive to give full play to oil-air lubrication system performance.

To improve customer service and deepen collaboration, Sinopec Lubricants Chongqing branch and Huashun also jointly held technology exchanges in Yantai to introduce management experiences and demonstrate the capability of the OA series, according to Wang. The seminars created favorable conditions for promoting the OA series lubricating oil in North China, while the recommendation certification helps further product expansion in the region, he added.

Huashun specializes in centralized oil-air lubrication system research and development, production and sales, and has a significant market share in Chinas steel industry. Huashun commands 70 percent of the market share in the Tangshan regions Hebei Province, according to the companys recent press release.

Sinopec Lubricants, a subsidiary of Chinese petroleum giant Sinopec, didnt respond to Lube Reports inquiry by press time.

Sinopec Lubricants plans to integrate its technology and market advantages to further conduct in-depth customer development on a large scale in 2014, and it has increased development efforts beginning at its sales center in North China since March, according to the press release.

This customer development work targets customers in a number of industries, such as coal, metallurgy and manufacturing. The work is proceeding as planned, the company reports.

Sinopecs oil-air lubricant series includes 4410 OA-2 oil-air lubricating oil, 4410 OA-3 oil-air lubricating oil, OA-super synthetic lubricants and OA-grease locomotive rim grease. According to Sinopec, the OA series lubricants have been used at more than 13 steel companies, including Baosteel, Sichuan Tranvic Group, Liuzhou Steel, Chongqing Iron and Steel Company, Jianlong Group, Hunan Valin Steel, Tangshan Iron and Steel, Hebei Rongxin Steel Group, Chongqing Iron and Steel Co., Shougang Shuicheng Iron and Steel, and more.
